Volunteer During Camp
Working at camp for a week while the kids are there is a great way to find out what the buzz is all about. It also helps support the Camp Program and campers who need financial aid. You can volunteer to be a cook, maintenance person, or medical person. Many volunteers return year
after year and find the adult community at camp very

To sign up for a week at camp as a volunteer or to earn credit toward your child's fees, go to the online registration and sign yourself up as a camper in the camp "Work Grant." You must be 21 or older to do a work grant at camp. You may do a work grant on a volunteer basis and donate the fee reduction to the camper financial aid fund. Register online here. The atmosphere is one of friendship and support and the camp just has a truly wonderful feel to it. I was so impressed with the staff and counselors and loved being a part of the camp community. The director just can't be beat - she is so amazing. The energy there is so positive and very contagious.

Our goal is to foster the kind of self-esteem that facilitates spiritual growth. Opportunities for such growth are created in the process of supporting campers through challenging experiences. Success in negotiating rapids or exploring artistic creativity offers a deeper strength from which to accept the challenge and risk of turning inward toward the Light. Typically, a camper goes home a more competent, confident person whose spiritual roots have deepened and whose ties to the broader Quaker community have strengthened.
