Catoctin Quaker Camp (Thurmont MD)
Catoctin is nestled in an upland saddle between two ridges in the Catoctin Mountains. It offers a beautiful pond, water play, creek exploration and hiking. The dining hall snuggly seats about 100. There are lots of cabins to spread out in and plenty of tent sites. Visitors often comment of the vast number of stars that fill the sky on crisp cool nights. It is often 5 or 10 degrees cooler at Catoctin than it is in near by Frederick.
The lodge is an enclosed stone building that has a fireplace and can be equipped with a woodstove. However, it is not insulated and can be quite chilly in raw weather. Visitors enjoy huddling close around the fireplace and sipping coco.
The Bathhouses are equipped with four toilets, four showers, and four sinks and hot and cold running water.
Catoctin Rental Fees
Weekend Rental (4:00 p.m. Friday - 3:00 p.m. Sunday)
For Quaker Groups:
$240 for up to 25 people. $6.75 for each additional person
$240 + (N – 25 * $6.75) = fee
For Non-Quaker Groups:
$315 for up to 25 people. $8.00 for each additional person.
$315 + (N – 25 * $8.00) = fee
N = Number of participants
Daily Rental (9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.)
For Quaker Groups:
$105 for up to 25 people. $2.25 for each additional person
$105 + (N – 25 * $2.25) = fee
For Non-Quaker Groups:
$145 for up to 25 people. $2.75 for each additional person
$145 + (N – 25 * $2.75) = fee
N = Number of participants
Weekday Overnight Rental (noon - noon)
For Quaker Groups:
$160 for up to 25 people. $5.25 for each additional person.
$160 + (N – 25 * $5.25) = fee
For Non-Quaker Groups:
$210 for up to 25 people. $6.75 for each additional person.
$210 + (N – 25 * $6.75) = fee

Studio at Catoctin – AVAILABLE YEAR AROUND (mid-August through May) - (sleeps 6 to 8) – heated, with private bath and kitchen
You may know this building as the Infirmary. It has two large rooms, a small office, a bathroom and a small kitchen.
Monthly - $475.00
Weekly - $180.00
Per night – $35.00
Weekend (Fri 3:00pm to Sunday at 3:00pm) - $55.00
